The end of the War in Iraq has been long awaited but it is finally here. For seven and a half years, we have been in a war
against an enemy that does not fight conventionally. They beat the Russians and held off the Iranians. These radical Muslim warriors
fight with weapons originally supplied to them by us. They fight not only for their beliefs, but for their god himself. This allows these
guerrilla fighters to fight without fear, knowing that their struggle will be rewarded in Heaven.
I personally feel that this has been an unjust fight. Our leaders have constantly flip-flopped on what they were fighting, from
terrorism, to WMDs, to liberating the Iraqi people. But each of these reasons mean nothing. There were no WMDs. The terrorists we fight
in Iraq had nothing to do with 911, as none of the bombers in those flights came from Iraq. The Iraqi people, according to my brother who
fought in Iraq, do not even want us there. Money is the only reason we fought in Iraq, and now that we are gone, that is a sure sign to me
that the cash well dried up. So yes, I am glad we can, at least for a time, not have our own citizens killed for greed.
Pros
1. No more casualties
2. Stop wasting billions of dollars
3. Can switch to recovering the economy
4. Can start to pull out of the middle east
5. Can refocus on Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Israel
6. Less cases of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder
7. Less injured veterans
8. Give hope to the U.S.
Cons
1. Terrorists may not be handled
2. Iraqi government could revert to old ways
3. Terrorism could get a boost from us pulling out (think we lost)
4. Al-Qaeda could regroup and strengthen
5. Some Americans may view this as a defeat
6.Iraq could become hostile
7. Iran may try to fight Iraq again
8. Many soldiers may become unemployed
Final thoughts
The debate has only furthered my thoughts on leaving Iraq. The war was a drain on the economy and cost lives of American soldiers.
With it over, we can get back to helping the homeland. Or we could go into another war. Only the future will tell where our choices take us.

As a person tired of the backstabbing ways of the American political system, I, Allen Davis, did not need resources for my material.
with all the sites I've visited over the years, I have amassed enough knowledge not to have to look up my material, and it would be
impossible to cite all of those sources. I do apologize if this sounds lazy but as I have not used any resources except for my memory
in this particular article, I will not cite the sources I did not use. Thank you for understanding.
